filled for the winter term 2011/2012: a university professor m/f a university professor m/f a university professor m/f (appointment procedure in acc. with § 98 of the University Law of 2002) Area of duties for the subjects of baroque cello and viola da gamba: Development and setup of a class for baroque cello and a class for viola da gamba. Individual artistic tuition in the main subject, specialist subject and compulsory optional subject for baroque cello and viola da gamba, chamber music teaching, conducting / collaboration for ensemble projects. It is a prerequisite that all professors are willing to collaborate on special projects and that cooperation is given across all areas of the institute. | Senior Lecturer in Violin | Christchurch, New Zealand | Senior Lecturer in Violin, University of Canterbury Location: School of Music(Centre for Fine Arts, Music & Theatre) The School of Music, within the Centre for Fine Arts, Music & Theatre, invites applications for the position of Seniro Lecturer in Violin. With support from the University’s senior management, the School of Music is poised to develop new facilities, with plans to become Canterbury’s National Conservatorium of Music. This position offers an opportunity to join the School at this exciting time, working with other performance staff. The successful applicant will have an established international performance profile and proven experience in teaching violin to students at all tertiary levels. This role requires the ability to perform solo and chamber music for the University, within New Zealand and preferably internationally. Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a subject relevant to violin performance. All applications should be submitted ON-LINE.
