Rachel Barton Pine performs Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Deep River arr. Maud Powell

American violinist Rachel Barton Pine performs Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's Deep River arranged by her compatriot, violinist Maud Powell (1867-1920), with pianist Matthew Hagle on Chicago Tonight.

Pine paid tribute to Powell at the 56th Grammy Awards ceremony on 25 January 2014 as the Recording Academy honoured the great violin pioneer with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Read the full news story and click here to read our interview with Rachel Barton Pine.
