According to the violinist, the impersonator is requesting ‘charitable’ funds from his followers
The American-Israeli violinist Itzhak Perlman has posted the following message on his Facebook page
‘It has come to my attention that someone continues to be impersonating me on Facebook/social media through an unofficial page and is requesting “charitable” funds from my followers. They are suggesting they are me or that they are connected with me and one individual is asking for payments via PayPal to the following address: joycebaraza584@gmail.com. Please know that I would never solicit funds and please do not succumb to this impersonator or anyone else who is impersonating me. I do not send individual messages through Facebook/social media and I communicate online only through posts on my official Facebook/social media channels.Very truly yours,Itzhak Perlman’.
