The American cellist and pedagogue Irene Sharp died on 13 July at the age of 87. Here she is seen giving a masterclass on Dvořák’s Cello Concerto in B minor, with student Noah Krauss, at California Summer Music in 2013. Sharp founded the festival in 1996 and remained its artistic director for over two decades.
