I moved to the picturesque town of Woodbridge, Suffolk, in 1991. I remembered my family holidays in the area when I was younger, and this seemed like a nice place to live; it’s only 90 minutes from London and there are very few other violin shops around. Originally I rented the shop next door to this, which also had rooms upstairs where I could live, but three years later I moved to this 16th-century building next door.
