Police in San Francisco have released video footage of a man and
woman they want to trace in connection with the theft of a cello
from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, reports KTVU. The
well-dressed couple, who investigators have dubbed 'Bonnie and
Clyde', were seen entering the conservatoire, checking lockers to
find one that wasn't secured, and then fleeing the building with a
cello, via a fire door.
The stolen cello belongs to 23-year-old Adam Young, who has played
it since the age of 11. The cello case also contained a binder of
music that Young had arranged for the quartet he plays in. A reward
has been offered for the safe return of the instrument
Last May a man was arrested for stealing a student's $23,000 violin
from a practice room at the conservatoire.
