Violinist Jack Liebeck performs The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams, alongside the SummerFest Chamber Orchestra. The performance was recorded at The Conrad in La Jolla, CA, during the 2024 La Jolla Music Society SummerFest.
Liebeck takes centre stage, surrounded by an orchestra led by Simone Porter and comprising violinists Njioma Grevious, SooBeen Lee, Yura Lee and Rebecca Benjamin, violists Jonathan Vinocour, James Kang and Brian Isaacs, cellists Kyril Zlotnikov, Paul Watkins and Macintyre Taback, and bassist Jeremy Kurtz-Harris.
Directed by Inon Barnatan, the 2024 edition of SummerFest was held from 26 July to 24 August and featured 21 performances from 75 international musicians over the four-week duration of the festival.
