Harpsichordist and conductor Richard Egarr leads an ensemble of period musicians in a rousing and joyful performance of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos, live from Queen’s Hall.
Bach wrote his six Brandenburg Concertos to show off his compositional prowess to a prospective employer, resulting in some of his most extrovert, exciting music. Each brief concerto creates its own distinctive character and sound world, each with its own individual soloists.
This concert is part of the Edinburgh International Festival’s At Home digital programme, featuring sixteen films available for free, to view internationally and released throughout November.
