The inaugural edition of Celebrating Women Luthiers - an International Exhibit has been taking place throughout 2024. Following instalments at Potter Violins in May and Reuning & Son Violins in June, the third and final event was held at Sapp Violins in Batavia, IL, from 13 to 19 July.
Throughout the week, Sapp Violins exhibited a collection of over 60 instruments and bows created by nearly 50 women luthiers from around the world. Sapp Violins hosted an open house gathering on the afternoon of Sunday 14 June, where people could view, play and purchase that on offer.
Take a look at these images, which showcase the shop’s display of instruments, as well as the open house gathering.
