Yu Jie, a Cremona-trained luthier based in Melbourne, has begun chronicling a 40-day sojourn in Poznań, Poland, working with award-winning maker Piotr Pielaszek. In this first episode the pair discuss scroll carving, and demonstrate some specific techniques.
