French-American violinist Corinne Chapelle requires £300,000 to seek targeted treatments in Europe
The French-American violinist Corinne Chapelle is launching a campaign to seek funds to help her pay for targeted medical treatment, having been diagnosed with an inoperable cancer.
The violinist, who is currently based in the UK, has been advised by her oncologist to seek targeted treatment available in Germany and Switzerland with a projected cost of £300,000 for three rounds of targeted treatments over the course of one year.
Chapelle says: ’This sum is impossible for me to meet on my own, and I am asking for your help to reach my goal. I am acutely aware that this is a very difficult time for us all, and I welcome your healing thoughts, prayers, donations, or just spreading the word to people you know who have the means and wish to help. I have a six year old daughter, Leila, whom I desperately want to watch grow up, blossom and reach her dreams.’
The campaign, already virtually signed by violinists Nicola Benedetti, Vilde Frang, Nicholas Aldstaedt and Julian Rachlin amongst others, can be viewed from launch day, Wednesday 10 February 2021, here: http://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/help-corinne-chapelle
