Concert Artists Guild (CAG) and Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) have announced their Grand Prize winners for 2024, following the 2024 CAG Louis and Susan Meisel Competition and 2024 YCAT Auditions, respectively.

This year, violinist Nathan Amaral and pianist Amiri Harewood have been chosen to join the rosters of both organisations, as the CAG/YCAT partnership enters its sixth year.

’It is such a joy to welcome both Nathan and Amiri into our joint family of artists,’ commented Alasdair Tait, chief executive and artistic director of YCAT. ’Both of them are such innate storytellers with an overwhelming curiosity and I can’t wait to introduce their infectious music making to many new audiences.’

Both musicians were chosen for their musicality, inquisitive spirit, and the potential to make a significant impact in the classical music world. The artists will benefit from transatlantic performance opportunities, connecting with cultural markets in both the US and Europe, and have access to the combined experience and expertise of both organisations in developing the careers of emerging musicians.

Amaral and Harewood will receive personalised artist management, a wealth of performance opportunities, and debut engagements at prestigious venues worldwide, in addition to comprehensive publicity materials, marketing support, as well as digital promotion.
