Ten finalists have been announced for the Dubai Classic Violin Competition, which is taking place from 1 to 5 November at the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management in Dubai, UAE. The finalists are (pictured clockwise from top left):

In the final round, the competitors will perform a recital of 30–40 minutes. The programme must include one virtuosic piece for violin and piano or violin solo, and the rest of the programme is free choice. The finalists are competiting for a €20,000 first prize. 

The top two prizewinners will be invited to compete in the Classic Violin Olympus International Competition in April 2025, also in Dubai, for a €200,000 first prize. They will be accompanied by the top two prizewinners from the overall competition’s five other preselection competitions, which took place this year in London, Rome, New York, Vienna and Tokyo. 

The jury comprises chairman of the jury Pavel Vernikov, Eszter Haffner, Massimo Quarta, Itzhak Rashkovsky and Yamei Yu.
