Ranaan Meyer is the sole double bassist on Opus 3 Artists’ roster

Opus 3 Artists has announced the addition of double bassist and composer Ranaan Meyer to its roster for general management.

A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and Manhattan School of Music, Meyer is a multiple Grammy and Emmy Award-winning double bassist, composer, and educator, best known as a founding member of the string trio Time for Three and as the founder/artistic director of Honeywell Arts Academy.

With Time for Three, Meyer has performed at numerous venues and festivals, collaborated with acclaimed orchestras worldwide, and recently recorded Grammy-winning concertos by Kevin Puts and Jennifer Higdon in the 2022 album Letters for the Future on Deutsche Grammophon.

He also co-produced tracks for Summer Walker’s chart-topping R&B album Still Over It and composed the score for Robin Wright’s film LAND.

In his role at Honeywell Arts Academy, he empowers emerging artists, offering full scholarships through the unique summer music institute.

As a soloist, he has performed with the double bass section of the Philadelphia Orchestra and in 2021 he composed his first concerto for double bass and orchestra entitled Concerto for My Family. He premiered Paul Frucht’s concerto In Tseyt (‘In Time’) in autumn 2024.
