The Apollo Chamber Players perform Gallo Ciego, a work that will feature on its upcoming album Traces of Time.

The performers are violinists Anabel Ramirez-Detrick and Matthew J. Detrick, violist Aria Cheregosha and cellist Matthew Dudzik, along with Grammy-winning musician and composer Héctor del Curto on bandoneon. The work by Agustín Bardi was an iconic piece in the repertoire of Osvaldo Pugliese’s orchestra through much of the 20th century. Composed in 1927, the work was arranged by Víctor Lavallén for a 1959 recording and reorchestrated by Jisoo Ok in 2020.

Traces of Time is due for release on Azica Records on 23 August 2024.
