Virtuoso double bassist Gary Karr turned 80 years old on Saturday 20 November. In honour of the occasion, the International Society of Bassists (ISB) released this video of Karr through the ages (including pointing out various stages of facial hair, as well as landmark musical milestones)
The ISB, which Karr founded in 1967, is accepting donations to continue study, promotion, and advancement of the double bass around the world. More information can be found here
