Premiering today at 1pm ET/ 6pm GMT is the documentary Making Menuhin, which follows the preparations for the Menuhin Competition in 2020, just when the Covid-19 pandemic erupted worldwide. ’Once news of the Covid-19 pandemic started to filter through, we realised that something was going to have to change with the competition’.
The documentary shows the unprecedented decision to postpone the Menuhin Competition for a year, only to hold it virtually in 2021 – and how this decision and the continuing pandemic affected the participating young violinists around the world. The documentary will feature exclusive interviews and performance footage from the four senior prize winners.
