Watch the full performance of the Bath Festival Orchestra’s concert, filmed live at its 18 October Kings Place debut. Conducted by Peter Manning, the programme consists of Vaughan Williams Two Hymn Preludes, Haydn Symphony No.104, Ethel Smyth’s Serenade in D, and Helen Grimes’ Clarinet Concerto, with Julian Bliss as the soloist.
The orchestra was founded in 1959 by Yehudi Menuhin as the resident ensemble of the Bath Festival. The ensemble re-launched during the Covid-19 pandemic, harnessing digital technology and media in an aim to reach wider audiences through live performances and educational outreach.
