A Berklee College of Music professor has thanked staff at the Massachusetts Bay Transport Authority (MBTA) after they found and kept safe the violin she left on a bus, reports the Boston Globe. Valerie Taylor was travelling home from a music festival when she forgot to pick up the instrument, and only realised it was missing the following morning. After retracing her steps, she found the violin, which had been returned by a bus driver to the bus operations office, where it was kept under lock and key. Taylor said that although the instrument is only worth around $2,000, it has great sentimental value because it's the violin she has played for more than 40 years.
