The International Grumiaux Competition for Young Violinists 2019, which took place from 7 to 10 March at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, is split into four age groups, for those aged under 10, 13, 17 and 21 respectively.
Himari Yoshimura, aged 7, was the youngest competitor overall and also won first place in the under-10 category playing this excerpt from Paganini’s Violin Concerto no.1.
