Muhai Tang continued conducting after his trousers fell down mid-concert
A conductor demonstrated his professionalism after his trousers fell down mid-concert by continuing to lead the orchestra.
Muhai Tang was conducting La Scala’s orchestra at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China when the incident took place. Unfazed, the 70-year-old Grammy-winning Chinese conductor simply pulled up his trousers over his boxer shorts as the orchestra played on.

As he did so, a female violinist in the front row of the orchestra grinned and, according to The Times, appeared to lean over to hide her giggles behind her music stand. Yet the orchestra was not distracted.
