The violinist has been appointed professor at the Salzburg Mozarteum University
Maxim Vengerov has taken on a Professorship at the Salzburg Mozarteum University - effective from the beginning of the next winter semester. The post will be an endowed Professorship, financed externally by the Stephan and Viktoria Schmidheiny Foundation.
The 44-year-old violinist is currently a visiting professor at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Switzerland, and, since autumn 2016, has held the Polonsky Guest Professorship at the Royal College of Music in London.
As part of his new appointment, Maxim will host public masterclasses at the Mozarteum on 14th October and 9th December.
