37 young violinists across three categories will compete for €24,000

The International Violin Competition, Kloster Schöntal will take place from 26 August to 4 September in Kloster Schöntal, Germany.  

37 participants will compete in three different categories: under 14s, 15 to 17-year-olds and 18 to 21-year-olds, with the chance to win up to €24,000. The Reinhold Würth Promotion Prize for further education in music, worth €5,000, is also up for grabs, as well as a performance with the Würth Philharmonic Orchestra. 

A jury consisting of international violinists Rebekka Hartmann, Paul Roczek, Krzysztof Wegrzyn, and artistic director of the competition Petru Munteanu selected the following 37 violinists.
