The Canadian chamber musician, soloist and pedagogue joins the roster for general management

Raab & Böhm has today announced the signing of Canadian violist Sarah McElravy for general management.
As a soloist, McElravy has appeared with major orchestras across the globe. Highlights of recent seasons include the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Kammerorchester des Symphonieorchesters des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Wiener Kammerorchester, Prague Philharmonia, Warsaw Philharmonic, Helsinki Philharmonic, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and Moscow Philharmonic, among many others.
The current season saw her perform the Walton Viola Concerto with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie under Jonathan Bloxham and the Sofia Philharmonic under Daniel Geiss. She made her debut at the Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw, performing Britten’s Lachrymae, and performed a series of double concertos with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Turku Philharmonic Orchestra alongside her duo partner and husband, the violinist and conductor Julian Rachlin.
McElravy regularly performs in a quartet with Rachlin, Boris Brovtsyn and Eckart Runge, as well as with other artists such as Vilde Frang, Janine Jansen, Mischa Maisky, Denis Kozhukhin and Itamar Golan. Future engagements include re-invitations as a soloist, extensive chamber music projects and a solo album.
She was a founding member of the Linden Quartet and toured extensively throughout North America and Europe during her tenure from 2009 to 2014. In 2014, McElravy founded the Chamber Music Society México, an organisation dedicated to presenting world-class chamber music in México City. As the artistic director, she brought leading North American artists to perform and provide educational programmes for talented young Mexican musicians.
