In this concert from 2019, newly uploaded as part of Sydney Opera House’s Digital Season, Danish soloist Andreas Brantelid performs Elgar’s Cello Concerto on the 1707 ‘Boni-Hegar’ cello by Antonio Stradivari. Vladimir Ashkenazy conducts the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in the performance, which also includes Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis and Elgar’s Enigma Variations. The concerto begins at 24:45.
