In this video from 2009, Ellinor D’Mellon plays the fourth and fifth movements of Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole with pianist Alina Artemyeva.

D’Melon, now 16, was born in Kingston, Jamaica, beginning violin lessons at the age of two and a half. She then studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Natasha Boyarsky.

Since 2011, she has been studying at the Queen Sofía College of Music (Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía) in Madrid, with Zakhar Bron and since 2013 at the Zakhar Bron Academy in Interlaken, Switzerland.
