In this video from Morgenland Festival Osnabrück 2017, Layale Chaker and the Sarafand Ensemble with Michel Godard perform their version of the Lebanese folk solk Havvel ya gannam.

Violinist and composer Layale Chaker trained at the National Higher Conservatory of Beirut in her native Lebanon, followed by studies at the Conservatoire de Paris and the Royal Academy of Music in London. She is a member of the West-Eastern Divan orchestra and currently working towards her doctoral degree at Ecole des Hautes Etudes in Paris.

She will be performing with the Sarafand Ensemble and launching her new album Inner Rhyme as part of the London Jazz Festival on Sunday 25 November
