A lone explorer traverses an expansive mountainside and beyond in this video, accompanied by chilling strings and a solo voice. Yet perhaps there’s more to this mountain than meets the eye…
Let me freeze again, composed by David Chalmin, is the first single from the upcoming project 50/50 Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu. Half baroque, half contemporary, half French, half British. 50/50 brings together two contemporary creations for baroque instruments: one by the Frenchman David Chalmin, inspired by Purcell’s music, the other by the British composer Martyn Harry, inspired by Lully’s work.
Axelle Verner features as the mezzo soprano, with Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu directed by Franck-Emmanuel Comte.
The video was produced by Libelo productions - Valentine Wurtz. Let me freeze again will be released as a single on Friday 15 July. The full album 50/50 will be available from 2 September on Aparté.
