The Serbian musician taught at the Faculty of Music at the University of Arts in Belgrade
Serbian violin professor Dejan Mihailović has died at the age of 84. Born in 1932, he began his musical studies in Belgrade before being accepted onto David Oistrakh's class at the Moscow Conservatory. He later undertook postgraduate study at the Gnessin State Musical College.
Following his training in Russia, Mihailović returned to Serbia to accept a teaching position at the the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, and in 1984 was appointed a professor at the Faculty of Music at the University of Arts in Belgrade.
A renowned renowned pedagogue, Mihailović taught a number of famous names, including Nemanja Radulovic, Robert Lakatos, Mateja Marinkovic, Marko Josifoski and Tijana Milosevic.
