A website is being set up to record all the UK arts projects and organisations that will be lost because of cuts in public funding. The site, called Lost Arts, will also keep a tally of the money lost to the arts and the money lost to the Treasury (drawing on Arts Council England chief executive Alan Davey's observation that every pound invested in the arts yields two pounds for the economy), as well as the number of jobs at risk. The Musicians' Union, and other unions including Equity, the Writers' Guild, the NUJ and Bectu, have joined together to launch the new website, www.lost-arts.org.
